LAGO – Die Therme
LAGO is the Therme of the Gysenbergpark in Herne, just north of Bochum. Its sauna world has a mixed area with eight cabins, separate women's and men's areas with five saunas each (steam, outdoor, aroma, Frische and mental sauna), a 10,000 m² sauna garden with a Maa-sauna, and a textile area with a 70 °C Finnish panorama sauna and a 50 °C mental sauna. Regular Aufguss sessions are included. Brine pools at 3 and 7 % salt. Day ticket 24.50 € on weekdays.
Hallenbad Langendreer
Hallenbad Langendreer is a municipal indoor pool of WasserWelten Bochum in the east of the city, with a 25-metre pool at 28 °C, diving boards, a paddling pool and a sauna area. Sauna entry is 12 € for adults and includes swimming; under-16s pay 7 € and must come with an adult. Bonus cards cut the price by up to 20 %. Tickets are sold as e-tickets for time slots. The Urban Blue family leisure park sits next door.

Wananas is a sport and leisure pool in Herne-Wanne-Eickel, run by the Herner Bädergesellschaft, with a sauna area beside its pools. It has a classic Finnish sauna at 85 to 95 °C and a milder Finnish salt sauna at 60 to 75 °C with a Himalayan salt wall, both with Aufguss by the sauna team. Guests cool off in the screened sauna garden, the showers or a plunge pool. Mondays from 14:00 the sauna is women only. Sauna without swimming costs 12 € for three hours.
