The spa at the Meliá Madeira Mare, a hotel with sea-view rooms in Funchal, has a hydrothermal circuit with a sauna, a hammam, contrast tanks and a salt-water flotation tank, plus a jacuzzi, whirlpool and Vichy, chromotherapy, Swiss and traditional showers. There are seven treatment cabins and a lounge serving juices and herbal teas. The spa is open from 7:00 to 22:00, and treatments should be requested two hours ahead.
