Candeo Hotels Kumamoto Shinshigai has a rooftop Sky Spa in the downtown Shinshigai district that sells day-visitor packages. Its auto-löyly saunas sit inside the open-air terrace: the men's runs at 80 to 90 °C with an iki stove and seats 16, beside a 17.5 °C cold bath and a 12th-floor cooling terrace over the city, and the women's terrace looks towards Kumamoto Castle. It won a Saunachelin 2020 special award. Day entry 3 to 11 PM is ¥1,400 on weekdays; a cheaper morning slot runs 6 to 11 AM.
