Onsen saunas in Nikko, Japan
Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa Sauna
Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa accepts day visitors to both of its large bathing areas, each equipped with a sauna. The two bath areas alternate between men and women, and the operator publishes an 11:00–20:00 day-use window. Admission may be shortened or paused when the hotel is busy, so checking the current situation before travelling is sensible.
Kinugawa Onsen Hotel Yuri Sauna
The stone-lined Yuri bath at Kinugawa Onsen Hotel has a sauna alongside several hot-spring pools and an open-air bath. The hotel offers separate day admission from 14:00 to 17:00, mainly on Friday through Sunday and peak days; it can decline entry when occupancy is high. The bathing areas follow a men and women rotation, so confirm the day’s availability before visiting.
Livemax Resort Kinugawa Sauna
This Kinugawa resort sells separate day admission to its onsen complex, including the Harvia löyly sauna. Visitors can choose a morning or afternoon and evening bath window, with a lower ticket price if they bring their own towels. The rooftop pool is separately advertised and currently closed for repairs; the listing is for the bath and sauna inside the operating resort.
