Grêmio Náutico União is one of Porto Alegre's big members' sports clubs, and its Moinhos de Vento clubhouse has a mixed sauna area with a dry sauna kept at 70 to 80 °C, a wet steam room at 45 to 50 °C sprayed with eucalyptus essence by staff, a quiet rest room and showers. Swimwear is compulsory, entry is from age 14, and the sauna is free for members. A second sauna runs at the club's Alto Petrópolis site.

Sogipa, the Sociedade de Ginástica de Porto Alegre founded in 1867, is a large members' sports club in the São João district. Its sauna runs separate men's and women's sessions: men on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM and on Saturday from 2 PM to 9 PM, women on Tuesday from 3 PM to 10 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. Access is for club members.
