Anne Saun is a municipal public bathhouse in Tartu's Annelinn district that has been bathing customers since December 1987. Its general saunas are split by gender, and from age seven children use the men's or women's side. Hourly private family saunas, renovated in 2025, come with or without a small plunge pool. Natural birch whisks are allowed. Entry to the general saunas costs 6.70 € on Thursdays and 7.20 € Friday to Sunday; it is open Thursday to Sunday only.
Jantsu talu is a farm in Pilka village, Luunja parish, about 15 minutes' drive from Tartu, with a traditional Estonian smoke sauna heated from early morning for six to eight hours. It is mainly booked privately, from 140 € for one or two bathers, and a tent sauna can be added for larger groups. The sauna master leads sauna rituals on request, and bathers cool off in the pond, or an ice hole in winter. The farm also holds occasional open communal sauna days.
Hotell Tartu's sauna centre is on the hotel's fifth floor, looking straight over the Emajõgi river. It has three saunas, a hot Finnish sauna with large windows, a steam sauna and a gentler sanarium, plus two hot tubs by panoramic windows and a small bar. Hotel guests use it in the morning; the evening sauna is open to everyone with a ticket, Monday to Friday 17:00 to 22:00 and weekends 14:00 to 22:00. Swimwear and flip-flops are compulsory. The whole centre can be hired privately.
