Sjøbadet is Trondheim's most central sea bath, on St. Olavs Pir behind the railway station, with roots going back to 1858. The volunteer-run members' association has a sauna, a bathing ladder, a diving tower and a raft about 50 metres out; the sauna runs through the winter and on poor-weather summer days. From 1 June to 31 August it is open to the public from 12:00 to 18:00 for 80 kr; from September to May it is for members, with announced public folkebad sauna sessions.
