Description
The sauna of Turun Avantouimarit, Turku's oldest winter-swimming club, sits on Ispoinen beach about 5 km from the centre. Non-members pay 7 euros for the sauna and changing rooms; the sea serves as the cold plunge, with an ice hole in winter. The sauna is shared by men and women and swimsuits are compulsory. In the winter season it is open from 2 PM to 8:45 PM, closed Tuesdays, with Thursdays for members only.
