A family-run garden sauna out in Breitenlee, kept by the Hebenstreit family as a public sauna with its own inn since 1980. The mixed, rustic setup has a dry sauna chamber and a steam chamber, a cold-water pool, a large FKK sunbathing lawn and a guest garden with home cooking. A day ticket is 22 euro, and the house also takes private groups of 10 to 20 people for a sauna evening or a party.
Badehaus Sargfabrik
The Badehaus at the heart of the Sargfabrik housing project spreads 350 m2 of international bathing culture across Penzing: a Finnish sauna, a bubbling warm-water pool, the heated tiles of a Roman tepidarium, a cold plunge basin, a whirlpool and a counter-current swim channel. Members use it round the clock through the Badeclub, while the public gets in on seasonal bathing nights such as Public Bath House, Queeres Saunieren and the women-only Public Bath - Female Edition.
