The spa of the Palácio do Governador hotel in Belém, by the Tagus, covers about 12,000 sq ft with a heated indoor pool with two waterfalls, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a Caribbean storm shower, an ice fountain, a relaxation area and a 24-hour gym. Visitors pay €35 for two hours or €45 for the whole day, with locker, towel and bathrobe included; the spa is open daily 10:00–20:00 and booking ahead is required.
