Its sodium chloride and bicarbonate spring rises from 1,000 m underground. There is a dry sauna and a cold bath fed with groundwater, a private family bath by reservation and a library lounge. Open 9:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and to 22:00 at weekends; adults 900 yen on weekdays and 1,050 yen at weekends. It closes for maintenance about once a quarter.

Sendai Yudokoro Sanpia no Yu in Wakabayashi Ward is a large day spa with a natural chloride hot spring in a garden-style open-air rock bath. Ayashi Tenku no Yu Soyogi no Mori sits on the Nishikigaoka heights in Aoba Ward with views to Mount Izumigatake. Its natural chloride hot spring rises from 1,100 m. There are two saunas: the Bon sauna, where a ceiling duct blasts hot air, and the dark Zen sauna for quiet self-loyly. The cold bath uses natural water from 150 m underground, and there are outdoor resting spaces. Open daily 9:00 to 1:00 (last entry 0:15); adults 1,220 yen on weekdays, 1,440 yen at weekends.

Hotel Zuiho is a large hot spring hotel in Akiu Onsen, in the gorge country of western Taihaku Ward, that sells day bathing. Both the men's and women's baths have a high-temperature and a medium-temperature dry sauna, a cold bath of natural water that drops to single digits in winter, and six open-air baths in a Japanese garden. Day bathing runs 10:00 to 15:00 (last entry 14:00) for 1,320 yen plus 70 yen bathing tax.
