嘉島湯元水春
Suisyun is a hot-spring day spa inside AEON Mall Kumamoto in Kashima, just south-east of the city. Its spring-fed outdoor rock bath sits beside a high-temperature löyly sauna with auto-löyly every hour on the hour, a self-löyly meditation sauna in the men's bath, a moisture salt steam sauna in the women's bath, and a Finnish barrel sauna on the stone-bed terrace. The cold bath is kept near 15 °C and is 105 cm deep on the men's side. Open 9 AM (6 AM Sundays and holidays) to 1 AM.

Yulax is a 24-hour natural hot spring and sauna house near Heisei station, known among Japanese sauna fans as the 'Holy Land of the West'. Men and women each have three saunas: a classic sauna with an Aufguss show every hour from noon to 1 AM, a near-dark meditation sauna and a steam-filled 'Great Aso eruption' sauna. The big cold bath runs on groundwater from 200 m down. Bath-only entry is ¥900 on weekdays and ¥1,000 at weekends; baths close 8 to 10 AM for cleaning.
湯月 Mifune Terrace
Yuzuki is the bathhouse of Mifune Terrace, a hotel, restaurant and bathing complex in Mifune town south-east of Kumamoto city, opened in 2022. It has three saunas, a self-löyly room around 80 °C, a dry sauna over 100 °C and a 40 to 50 °C steam room, plus a 'gokurei' single-digit cold bath below 10 °C next to a regular cold bath, a large indoor bath, an outdoor bath, a hot-spring source bath and family baths. Bath-only entry is ¥760 on weekdays and ¥810 at weekends. Open 5:30 AM to 11 PM.
