Thames Lido

Thames Lido is an open-air lido with a spa and restaurant on Napier Road, beside the Thames in central Reading. Its 24-metre outdoor pool is heated all year, and at the far end sit a Scandinavian sauna at around 85 °C with three tiers of benches and a window onto the pool, a steam room and an open-air hot tub. A cold-water drench bucket and funnel shower serve for contrast bathing. Two-hour swim, sauna, steam and hot tub sessions start from £25 (£30 Friday to Sunday); adults only.
