Samcha is a wellness centre in the La Courrouze district on the south-west edge of Rennes, near the St-Jacques-Gaîté metro station on line B. Alongside massages, a beauty institute, a hairdresser and personal training, it runs a private spa with a bubble bath and a sauna that is booked for exclusive use by one person, a couple or a group. Swim briefs or trunks and one- or two-piece swimsuits are required. It opens Monday to Friday 9:30 to 19:30 and Saturday 9:30 to 18:00.
Awelys Spa
Awelys Spa is a private-hire spa beside the Les Longs Champs shopping centre in north-east Rennes. Guests book one of two rooms for two hours: Emeraude, for two, has a sauna and a large hot tub, while Saphir, for two to ten people, adds a hammam. Towels, robes and toiletries are supplied and swimwear is compulsory. Bookings run from 9:00 to 21:00 every day, and Emeraude costs 95 EUR for two on weekday daytimes. Massages can be added.

Its 70 m2 Espace Prestige is booked exclusively by groups of two to fifteen and holds an XXL jacuzzi, a six-seat sauna, a six-seat eucalyptus hammam, a sensory shower and a cold douche écossaise. Its separate Espace Détente has a Finnish sauna at 80 to 110 degrees, an infrared Japanese sauna at 55 degrees, hammams, Scandinavian showers, a rest room and a patio with a terrace and a cold-water bath. The Détente ticket excludes the jacuzzis, which need the Détente plus pool entry. The area can be hired privately on Saturday afternoons.
