Birke Spa
Day spa of the family-run Hotel Birke in Kiel-Hasseldieksdamm, open to day guests who book ahead by phone. Admission covers a 6 x 12 m pool at 29°C, a 90°C sauna, a 60°C vital sauna, an infrared cabin, a brine steam bath and a 40°C tepidarium, plus a Feng Shui garden with beach chairs, Kneipp basin and barefoot path. Aufguss ceremonies take place in the outdoor sauna. The hotel says the Finnish sauna is currently out of service.
Romantik Hotel Kieler Kaufmann – Sanctum
Sanctum is the spa of the Romantik Hotel Kieler Kaufmann, a villa hotel in Düsternbrook. It has a Finnish sauna and a bio sauna, an indoor pool, a rest room, a sun terrace overlooking the garden and a small Technogym fitness room. Outside visitors are welcome and can buy 10-visit cards, but from Friday 1 pm to Sunday 1 pm the spa is reserved for hotel guests.
