It has a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, a bio sauna, infrared cabins and an Ottoman brine steam bath, plus a Finnish ladies' sauna from October to April. Staff run Aufguss sessions through the day, cooling is by gush bucket, an ice fountain and an outdoor terrace, and there is a 28 °C brine pool. The saunas are textile-free.

Family-run sauna bath in Molfsee, on the southern edge of Kiel, open for more than 40 years and on 362 days a year, with no membership needed. It has a garden log-cabin sauna at 85-90°C for up to 40 people, a Finnish sauna, a coloured-light sanarium, a brine caldarium, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, a 12 x 6 m pool kept at 29°C, a Kneipp walk and a screened garden. Aufguss sessions run daily from 1 pm. Monday is women's day; a full day costs €22.

Day spa of the family-run Hotel Birke in Kiel-Hasseldieksdamm, open to day guests who book ahead by phone. Admission covers a 6 x 12 m pool at 29°C, a 90°C sauna, a 60°C vital sauna, an infrared cabin, a brine steam bath and a 40°C tepidarium, plus a Feng Shui garden with beach chairs, Kneipp basin and barefoot path. Aufguss ceremonies take place in the outdoor sauna. The hotel says the Finnish sauna is currently out of service.
