SENSE sauna
SENSE sauna is a men-only sauna on the fifth floor of an office block six minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, built around a space-travel theme. Its four saunas are SUN (100°C), OCEAN (80°C, self-löyly), ZEN (90°C, staff löyly every 30 minutes and regular Aufguss events) and MOON, a private two-person terrace room. Pokapoka Onsen Shin-Moriyama-no-yu is a large sento in Moriyama ward that marked its 30th year in 2025. Its sauna is heated by a steam boiler, runs at about 100°C and sprays water straight onto the heater every two minutes, and heat-wave (neppa) events run on many days. Two groundwater cold baths are kept at 16°C and about 18°C, the second free-flowing in the open air. Open 6:00 to 1:00 every day; bath ¥550, with sauna ¥850. Tattoos are allowed with a ¥100 cover band.

Canal Resort is one of Nagoya's largest bathing complexes, fed by its own Tamagawa hot spring at 48.8°C. The main baths have a very large Finnish-style sauna with aroma löyly every 15 minutes, a salt sauna, a 2 m deep carbonated cold bath at about 10°C and a 6 m cold pool you can swim in. The South Area adds a 'live sauna', an outdoor tent sauna with self-löyly, a hinoki barrel sauna and a −20°C cooling zone. Entry ¥900 on weekdays and ¥1,000 at weekends; the rock-bath zone costs extra.

Ozone Onsen Yu no Shiro is a hot-spring bath near Vantelin Dome Nagoya with twelve baths, among them a carbonated bath, an open-air rock bath and a seasonal binchotan charcoal cold bath. Its sauna runs above 90°C with automatic löyly every 30 minutes from 7:00 to 24:00, and the upstairs healing salon (extra fee) has an oxygen sauna with aroma-and-music löyly shows every two hours. Open 6:00 to 1:00, later on Fridays and Saturdays for now; entry ¥800 on weekdays and ¥900 at weekends.

Daikoku-yu is a tiled neighbourhood sento in Nakamura ward, four minutes' walk from Nakamura Kuyakusho station, that calls itself a 'dagashi-ya sento' selling old-fashioned sweets. Its bath water is pumped groundwater heated with heavy oil, and the cold bath is free-flowing groundwater. The sauna costs ¥100 on top of entry. Hours are 15:30 to 23:00; the bathhouse's own site says it opens every day, while the Aichi sento association lists Sunday as its closing day.

Hira Onsen is an old-style neighbourhood sento in Nishi ward. Its far-infrared sauna runs at 105°C and was relined entirely in hinoki in November 2021, and the cold bath is kept at 16°C in summer and 11°C in winter. Other baths include a jet bath, an electric bath and two powerful waterfall showers. Entry is ¥550 plus ¥230 for the sauna with a rental bath towel. Open 15:30 to 23:30 (from 15:00 at weekends), sauna until 23:00, closed Fridays.

Yoro Onsen is a sento in Shinsakae, Naka ward, in business for 70 years. Its bath water is drawn from a well, which makes it soft, and the bath house has a jacuzzi, a bubble bath, an electric bath, a cold bath and a dry-and-wet high-temperature sauna, with a coin laundry alongside. Since 14 April 2026 it opens 14:00 to 22:00 and closes on Mondays.
