ユートピア白玉温泉
Utopia Shiratama Onsen is a neighbourhood sento in the Kyobashi-Gamo area of Joto ward, founded in 1963 and now run by its third generation. Its high-temperature Bona sauna gets an automatic löyly every ten minutes, and its ice bath, which the owners call a Japanese first, is kept at 15°C by dropping in ice. An outdoor rest area has 12 chairs, and there are carbonated, electric and open-air baths. Entry is ¥600 plus ¥300 for two hours of sauna; open 6:00 to 1:00 every day. Tattoos are accepted.

Yudokoro Abenobashi is a large sento at sento prices in the heart of Tennoji, a short walk from Tennoji and Abenobashi stations. Natural hot-spring water is trucked in daily from Terme Ryugu in Minato ward to fill one of its two big main baths. It has a free steam sauna, a tower-style dry sauna with television (¥300 extra, bath towel included) and a cold bath tiled in gold. Open 15:00 to 23:00; closed on Thursdays and on the third Wednesday of each month.
