ひだまりの泉 萩の湯
Hidamari no Izumi Haginoyu, three minutes from Uguisudani Station, is among the largest public bathhouses in Tokyo, reopened in 2017 with the men's bath on the third floor and the women's on the fourth. Both have a sauna, a carbonated bath and an open-air rock bath; the women's side adds a salt sauna and the men's a large cold bath. Entry is ¥600 plus ¥350 for the sauna on weekdays. Open 6:00–9:00 and 11:00–25:00, with a restaurant on the second floor; closed the third Tuesday.
三ノ輪 改栄湯
Kaieiyu in Minowa, founded in 1950 and renovated in 2020 as a 'downtown luxury sento', softens all its bathroom water. The men's sauna, rebuilt in 2022, pairs a large far-infrared heater with an auto-löyly machine and a five-minute aufguss every 20 minutes, and the men's open-air area adds a cold bath and air-bathing space; the women's side has a 100 °C dry sauna with aroma water. Sauna costs ¥500–850 on top of ¥600 entry. Open 14:00–24:00, from 12:00 at weekends; closed Tuesdays; no tattoos.
堀田湯
Hotta-yu is a sento seven minutes from Nishiarai Station in Adachi, renovated in April 2022. The men's open-air area has a herbal sauna for up to 12 people, a 160 cm cold bath described as the deepest in Tokyo, a large outdoor bath and a spacious rest area; the women's side has a 'wall-löyly' sauna and two cold baths of different temperatures and depths. The original tile murals were kept. Open 14:00–24:00 on weekdays and 8:00–24:00 at weekends and holidays; closed the second Thursday.

Takarayu is a neighbourhood bathhouse in Wakamiya, Nakano, six minutes from Nogata Station, whose water was certified as a natural hot spring in 2025. It has an auto-löyly stone sauna and a humid comfort sauna with a TV, which swap between the men's and women's sides every month, and a radon cold bath of ultra-soft water treated with Bad Gastein ore. There is also an open-air silky bath and a carbonated bath. Sauna ¥500 on top of ¥550 entry. Open 13:00–24:00, closed Mondays; tattoos allowed.

Yudonburi Sakaeyu is a neighbourhood bathhouse near Minowa where every bath, tap and shower runs on natural hot-spring water, some of it warmed by rooftop solar collectors since 1979. The sento says the automatic heat-wave fan found in Japanese saunas began here, and a fine-bubble cold bath follows the sauna. Entry is ¥600 plus ¥600 for the sauna, and a trailer sauna can be booked separately. Open 14:00–23:00, from 12:00 on Sundays and holidays; closed Wednesdays.
妙法湯
Myohoyu is a sento two minutes from Shiinamachi Station, renovated in 2019 around soft water, including what it calls Japan's first soft-water carbonated silky bath, and every bath uses nano-microbubbles. The saunas are hot, set to 110 °C for men and 100 °C for women, and the 16 °C soft-water cold bath is up to a metre deep on the men's side. Sauna entry with bath and towels costs ¥950. Open 15:00–25:00, closed Mondays; tattoos are welcome.
押上温泉 大黒湯
Oshiage Onsen Daikokuyu, six minutes from Oshiage Station, is a sento founded in 1949 whose baths use a weakly alkaline natural hot spring, with the Skytree in view from its large open-air bath. Both sides have a 95 °C far-infrared sauna; one side adds a mugwort salt steam sauna at 50–60 °C, and the two bath halls swap daily. Second-floor decks with hammocks serve for cooling. Sauna ¥300–400 extra on ¥600 entry; open mid-afternoon to 10:00 next morning; closed Tuesdays; tattoos allowed.
改良湯
Kairyou-yu is a sento between Shibuya and Ebisu that dates from 1916 and was redesigned in 2018, with artist murals and soft water throughout. The men's side has a convection sauna and the women's a kelo sauna, with cold baths and a carbonated bath. Entry is ¥600 plus ¥550 for the sauna, and sauna users may stay up to 120 minutes (men) or 150 minutes (women). The sento also runs occasional aufguss sessions. Open 12:00–23:30 Sunday to Friday and on holidays; closed Saturdays.
松本湯
Matsumoto-yu is a sento in Higashi-Nakano, three minutes from Ochiai Station, fully renovated in August 2021. The men's sauna holds 20 people, and the women's side has a dry sauna and a steam sauna. Both sides have two cold baths at 16 °C and 28 °C, the colder one 150 cm deep for men and 135 cm for women. Bath and sauna together cost ¥1,100, and tattoos are accepted. Open 14:00–24:00, Sundays 8:00–12:00 and 15:00–24:00; closed Thursdays unless a holiday.
