Go Sauna is a wood-fired mobile sauna run by a South African couple that parks beside the Atlantic on a fixed weekly schedule: at Saunders Rock in Sea Point on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 7:30 to 11:30 AM and 4 to 7 PM, at Camps Bay on Monday afternoon and Friday morning, and at Blouberg by Ons Huisie on Sunday morning. The sauna runs at 80 to 95°C with the ocean as the cold plunge, and sessions cost from R100 per 15 minutes.

Steenberg Spa sits in the gardens of the historic Steenberg Farm wine estate in Tokai, part of the Steenberg hotel. Its outdoor Thermal Suite combines a sauna, an ice-bucket shower and an ice bath, next to a heated pool at the Pool House. Thermal suite and pool access come with treatments worth R1,500 or more, and from May to August the suite can be hired exclusively for up to six guests at R2,600 an hour. The spa opens daily from 8 AM to 6 PM.
