SaunaHaüs is a sauna and cold-plunge club at Prom Park on the Sea Point Promenade in Mouille Point, built around Saunagus, the Scandinavian guided sauna ritual. Guided sessions run three rounds of sauna at 75 to 95°C with breathwork, music, essential oils and towel fanning, each followed by an ice bath at 6 to 10°C or a cold shower. A single session costs R300, monthly memberships add open-hour visits, and swimwear or active wear is required.
Steenberg Spa
Steenberg Spa sits in the gardens of the historic Steenberg Farm wine estate in Tokai, part of the Steenberg hotel. Its outdoor Thermal Suite combines a sauna, an ice-bucket shower and an ice bath, next to a heated pool at the Pool House. Thermal suite and pool access come with treatments worth R1,500 or more, and from May to August the suite can be hired exclusively for up to six guests at R2,600 an hour. The spa opens daily from 8 AM to 6 PM.
