Acquamadre is an independent hammam in the Jewish Ghetto of central Rome, laid out like a Roman bath: a tepidarium at 34°C with heated marble benches and hot-water ablutions, a calidarium steam bath at 45°C and 100% humidity where the body is scrubbed with the kassa glove, then a frigidarium tub of fresh water at 26°C and a relaxation room.
