Bastun i Jubileumsparken
The City of Gothenburg's free public sauna stands in Jubileumsparken on the Frihamnen waterfront, a landmark designed with the Berlin collective Raumlabor and rebuilt identically in 2024. It holds up to 25 people, with bookable split or mixed sessions most of the year and drop-in in summer. Bathers cool off in Hamnbadet's floating pools beside it, including a winter-open saltwater pool. Nude bathing is not allowed.
Serenity Spa, Hotel Riverton
Serenity Spa is on the ground floor of Hotel Riverton by the Göta älv river. It has three saunas, a traditional dry sauna at 70–80°C overlooking the pool, an aromatherapy sauna and a hammam steam room, plus a 37°C indoor pool under marble arches, experience showers and heated loungers. Non-guests can book day spa from 595 SEK, Sunday to Thursday, by email. Swimwear is required and the minimum age is 18, or 16 with a guardian.
