Bath & Barley is a beer spa a step from the Grand-Place, where guests soak in handmade oak tubs filled with warm water, yeast, hop and malt. Every room is private, seating up to six, and the Monk experience adds a hops-aroma sauna at 70°C and an oak barrel to cool down in. An hour for two starts at 139 euros, or 169 euros with the sauna. It opens daily, from 11:00 on Saturdays and later on weekdays.

Calm Spa

Calm Spa runs two wellness spaces on avenue Firmin Lecharlier in Jette, each combining a heated pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a hammam. The venue works two ways: the rooms can be booked as a fully private spa, or visited as a public spa reserved for women. Massages, scrubs and beauty treatments are offered alongside the bathing. Reservation is required and rates are published separately for the spa and the beauty institute.

Les Thermes de l'Espadon

Les Thermes de l'Espadon is the sauna, hammam and jacuzzi area of the municipal Espadon sports centre and swimming pool in Etterbeek. A ticket costs 15 euros and is valid for three hours, including the pool. On weekdays and Fridays until early evening the thermes are entered through the pool; at weekends there is a separate sauna entrance between 12:45 and 14:00. It opens weekdays 17:00 to 22:00 and weekends 11:00 to 19:00. Only Bancontact card payment is accepted at the sauna.

Piscine Triton

Piscine Triton

The Triton pool in Evere keeps a wellness area with a sauna, a steam room and jacuzzis alongside its swimming pool, entered for an additional fee. A combined pool, sauna and hammam ticket costs 7.50 euros for Evere residents and 11 euros for everyone else, with an eleven-visit pass at 75 and 110 euros. The pool opens weekdays 7:30 to 19:00, Thursdays until 20:00, and weekends 9:00 to 17:00. It is closed on public holidays.

The White Oak

The White Oak is a wellness resort at Kampenhout, north-east of Brussels, with several saunas, a garden of outdoor dipping pools and a swim pond, a restaurant and a regular programme of aufguss sessions run by its own sauna masters. The resort is normally nude, but every Wednesday and the first and third Saturday of the month are swimwear days on which swimwear is mandatory throughout. It opens daily from 10:30, until 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Thermae Grimbergen is a green wellness estate north of Brussels run by the same group as Boetfort, with its thermal areas split between Aquarius, the nude section, and Sabai, where a swimsuit is worn. Two private saunas, Cleopatra and Yasmine, can be hired separately. The weekly experience programme includes Mindful Moments on Wednesdays and Cold Awareness on Thursdays. Thermen Londerzeel is the rural sister of Thermen Dilbeek, north of Brussels, with four saunas: an Austrian Alm sauna at 80°C with an open hearth, a bio-panorama sauna over the indoor complex, an infrared cabin and an aqua sauna set beside a giant aquarium. Cooling is by an 8 by 5 metre 24°C plunge pool, cooling barrels and a bath in the natural pond, and there is a heated 32°C outdoor pool year round. Swimsuits are not allowed. Entry is €47 and the baths open daily 11:00 to midnight.

Martin'Spa by Algotherm is the thermal bath and spa of Martin's Château du Lac on the shore of Lake Genval, south-east of Brussels, with a heated indoor pool, a sauna and hammam, whirlpool baths, four treatment rooms and a cardio fitness area. From Monday to Thursday the baths are open by reservation only, at 15 euros an hour for hotel residents and 35 euros for outside visitors; from Friday to Sunday access is reserved for guests who have booked a 50-minute treatment.
