Bathers move between a Finnish sauna, a steam room, an infrared cabin and a cold pool, and the whole sauna floor is a nude area where swimwear is not allowed. Sessions are mixed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and all day Saturday, with Thursday reserved for women. Five hours costs 17,70 euro, an evening card 14,40 euro.

Vienna's thermal bath at Oberlaa, whose Saunalandschaft alone covers 3.000 m2 over two levels with a mixed area and separate women's and men's floors. The cabins range from a 90 degree Finnish sauna and a 65 degree bio sauna to a steam bath, tepidarium and laconium, with a fireplace room, a sauna garden and regular Aufguss ceremonies, and 18 degree plunge pools for cooling. The therme opens daily 9 am to 10 pm; sauna is a 15 euro surcharge on the day ticket. Swimwear is not allowed in the sauna.

The largest of Vienna's four municipal sauna baths, on Hütteldorfer Straße, with a Finnish sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, cold pool and an outdoor multipurpose pool for the warm months. It keeps the longest week of the four: Thursday to Sunday mixed from 8 or 9 am, Tuesday reserved for women and Wednesday for men. The sauna floor is a nude area entered without swimwear; five hours costs 17,70 euro.

Sauna am Badeschiff

A sauna on a moored ship in the Donaukanal, right in the centre of Vienna. In summer the Pooldecksauna above the 27-metre pool is a classic Finnish cabin and bathers cool off by dropping straight into the water below; in winter a second panorama sauna with windows over the canal takes over. Sauna entry is included in the pool ticket at 10,50 euro, 8 euro after 5 pm, and the deck sauna runs daily from 6 to 9.30 pm.
