La Banquise is the City of Geneva's winter installation on the Quai Gustave-Ador, a playful lakeside space open to everyone. Four wood-fired saunas seat eight people each and are booked in 60-minute slots for CHF 10 per person, with cold showers between rounds. It runs only in late winter — 28 January to 26 April in 2026 — and opens Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 9pm. Sessions may be taken in swimwear or in Nordic nudity with a cloth, and bookings are neither changeable nor refundable.
Shape is a small EMS training studio in Les Acacias that also sells contrast therapy: an infrared sauna paired with an ice bath at nought to three degrees, booked solo or as a duo in 25- or 55-minute slots. Guests bring their own swimsuit and towel and must take a soap-free shower before every immersion; diving booties and gloves are suggested for anyone sensitive to the cold. The recovery room takes a maximum of two people at a time.
