Lonna's public sauna stands on the island of Lonna in the archipelago just in front of Helsinki's centre, in a building of handcrafted untreated logs designed by OOPEAA that opened in 2017. Two wood-heated loft saunas are mixed every day, with or without swimsuit, and bathers cool off on a large terrace or in the sea from a rocky shore. A two-hour pass costs EUR 23 and booking ahead is advised. The sauna opens Tuesday to Saturday, and the island is open only from 7 May to 26 September 2026.
