A Korean jjimjilbang in Kaka'ako, gender-segregated by floor and open to both men and women. The signature room is "almost entirely made of Himalayan Salt", alongside a dry sauna and a steam room. The saltwater hot tub and cold tub drive the "hot-cold-relax recommended spa cycle", and Korean body scrubs are the house speciality. Bathing suits are not worn in the bathing areas. A Korean woman-owned, mother-and-daughter jjimjilbang on the fourth floor of a Makaloa Street building, serving female and AFAB guests only. General entry is $40 for up to five hours and covers the bath house, soaking tubs, rest area and three heat rooms: a steam sauna, a dry sauna lined with salt rocks and charcoal, and a jade room. The house speciality is the ddae (때) exfoliating scrub. Last entry 6pm.
Abhasa Waikiki Spa
A garden spa inside The Royal Hawaiian on Kalakaua Avenue, unusual in Waikiki for treating guests in open-air cabanas in a tropical garden as well as indoor rooms. The facilities include a steam room, a whirlpool spa and a jacuzzi, with complimentary aromatic tea in the lounge. Reservations are required. Open daily 10am to 6pm.
