38° The Bathhouse
A 700 square metre bathhouse in the basement below Campbell Parade at Bondi Beach, opened on the site formerly trading as Slow House. The circuit takes in a "38 degree magnesium pool", a traditional salt sauna billed as Bondi's biggest, a steam room, cold plunges and ice baths, plus private infrared suites that can be booked on their own. Massage, facials and red light therapy are sold alongside the bathing.
Escape Bathhouse
A north shore bathhouse on the Pacific Highway with a 38C mineral pool, a traditional sauna, a steam room and ice baths, plus a Placebo Bar serving non-alcoholic drinks. Swimwear is compulsory: "Appropriate swimwear at all times — no nudity", and entry is 18+, or 16+ with a parent. Sessions run $39 for the 60-minute early bird up to $99 for two hours at weekends. Closed Mondays. The whole space can be hired privately from $1500.

Soak's second Sydney site, "Spanning more than 700 square metres" in a Bourke Road warehouse in Alexandria. The circuit holds two mineral pools at 34C and 38C, a dry cedar sauna, infrared saunas, a steam room infused with essential oils, and cold plunges and drench buckets kept at 12.5C. Passes start at $39.95 and run to $169.95 for the longer packages, and treatments and massage can be added to a bathing session.
Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre
The City of Sydney's wave-shaped pool at Ultimo, named for the five-time Olympic gold medallist, keeps a sauna and steam room beside its 50-metre indoor pool and leisure pool spa. Entry fees apply for casual use of the heat rooms, which are not covered by a swim ticket, though "Access to the sauna and steam room is included as a benefit for all 360 Pro Members". The centre is open from 6am to 8pm and also holds a fitness centre and group exercise studios.

The 2000 Olympic and Paralympic swimming venue at Homebush still opens its pools to the public, and behind them sit a sauna, a steam room and "4 spas which are included in the entry price". The heat rooms carry an extra fee paid at the service desk, are limited to swimmers over 16 and to 20 minutes at a time, and users "must wear recognised swimwear made from lycra or nylon at all times".
