The Blaisdell YMCA in South Minneapolis is a community fitness center of the YMCA of the North with a sauna accessed from the pool deck, a whirlpool and a 25-yard lap pool with depths from 3 to 9½ feet, plus fitness equipment, gymnasium space for basketball and volleyball, youth programs and personal training. Access is by membership; area residents can request a free five-day trial pass, and members get guest passes for friends. Open Monday to Friday 5 AM to 9 PM and weekends 7 AM to 5 PM.
